Racial Traits
Base Speed: A Half-Elf's base land speed is 30 ft.
Medium Size: As medium creatures Half-Elves have no
bonuses or penalties associated with size.
Immunities: Half-Elves are immune to magic sleep spells
and effects, and they have a +2 racial saving throw
bonus against Enchantment spells or effects.
Low-light Vision: Half-Elves can see twice as far as
humans in starlight, moonlight, torchlight, and similar
conditions of poor illumination. They retain the ability
to distinguish color and detail under these conditions.
Skill Bonuses: Half-Elves receive a +1 racial bonus on
Listen, Search, and Spot checks. A Half-Elf does not
share an Elf's ability to detect secret doors. A Half-Elf's
senses are simply not as keen as an Elf's.
Half-Elves also receive a +2 to Diplomacy and
Gather information checks. Living a life between two
societies Half-Elves naturally get along with different
types of people.
Elven Blood: For all effects and abilities related to a race a Half-Elf is considered an Elf.
Long-Lived: Because of their Elven blood Half-Elves live longer than humans, though not
as long as full Elves. Their life spans are 1.5 times that of a human being, and as
such they age at two-thirds the rate of a human as well.
Automatic Languages: Common, Elven
Bonus Languages: Any. Half-Elves have as broad an experience as humans.
Favored Class: Any. A Half-Elf's highest level class does not count when determing
experience penalties.
